That’s the headline as we see it. On July 20th, 2009 we hosted our inaugural golf outing at the Cottonwood Golf Course. After months of planning and trying our best to make the event a fun time for the attendees the day had finally arrived.
By 10 am our staff was at the course setting up the check-in, event holes and banquet tables. At noon guests were being greeted by our staff, the Denise Quintet, and the Charger Cheerleaders.
Once out on the course the heat subsided and the golfers enjoyed a gentle breeze and great weather. By all accounts the players had a great time.
In the evening players enjoyed a delicious dinner while Kimberly King (NBC) emcee’d the event. Awards were presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams and tons of very generously donated items were raffled off.
On behalf of the San Diego Police Canine Association, thank you to everyone who attended and or donated time money or prizes. The money raised during this event will help make the life’s of countless retired police dogs more comfortable.
